One of the many great things about living in Oregon is the abundance of fresh fruit during the summer months. Late May to early June is strawberry season. And you haven't tasted a strawberry until you've had an Oregon berry.
Oregon strawberries are red all the way through. And they taste soooo sweet! Once you've had one of these babies, you'll refuse to eat any other kind.
Not only strawberries make their appearance in June, it's also cherry season. And fresh local cherries are absolutely divine. I got these beauties at our neighborhood farmer's market this morning. They looked so red and luscious I couldn't say no. I used my last bit of change to buy a bag.
Coincidentally, this week's theme for the 52 Photos Project was "crimson." I think I've found some subjects!
Have I made you hungry yet?

Great photos! I am now going to dream of cherries! x
ReplyDeleteNow the strawberries I'd argue we have just as good in the south, but there's no contest on the cherries! People try to grow them here, but they don't compare to what I get from other places.
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteOur strawberries & cherries are blossoming like crazy. We're looking forward to them!
Amazingly delicious fruits. Very well captured!
ReplyDeleteStunning, just love the texture and details
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I can just taste them!
ReplyDeleteYou sure like to make me envious! Please don't tell me the cost per pound. The flavour of our strawberries is often disappointing and our cherry season is very short.
ReplyDeleteTantalising photography!
Yes! And great photos by the way ;)
ReplyDeleteYummmm!!! I just finished a bag of really good bing cherries!!! So yummy!!!
