One of the many great things about living in Oregon is the abundance of fresh fruit during the summer months. Late May to early June is strawberry season. And you haven't tasted a strawberry until you've had an Oregon berry.
Oregon strawberries are red all the way through. And they taste soooo sweet! Once you've had one of these babies, you'll refuse to eat any other kind.
Not only strawberries make their appearance in June, it's also cherry season. And fresh local cherries are absolutely divine. I got these beauties at our neighborhood farmer's market this morning. They looked so red and luscious I couldn't say no. I used my last bit of change to buy a bag.
Coincidentally, this week's theme for the 52 Photos Project was "crimson." I think I've found some subjects!
Have I made you hungry yet?
